A Note from Stephanie
Shontesia brought a perspective to Bumby that I really value because she understands both the numbers and the people behind them.
Her background in accounting, finance, project management, and data governance meant she could look at the business with a very different lens — one focused on structure, financial stewardship, planning, and how better information can support better decisions.
What I appreciated most was that she never treated those things as purely technical. She understands that strong systems and strong financial practices ultimately support people: the team doing the work, the customers we serve, and the long-term health of the business.
That combination of analytical thinking and genuine care made her a wonderful person to have contributing to Bumby.
Who is Shontesia?
Hi! I'm Shontesia, an Accounting and Finance professional currently pursuing my Master of Accounting with a specialization in Financial Reporting.
My background spans accounting, financial analysis, project management, and data governance, where I've spent years helping organizations improve processes, make data-driven decisions, and successfully execute complex projects.
Outside of work and school, I'm a wife, mom, and someone who genuinely enjoys learning and finding creative ways to solve problems.
What matters most to me is continuous growth, building meaningful relationships, and using my skills to make a positive impact. Whether I'm analyzing financial data or supporting a creative business, I love being part of something that helps people and creates lasting value.
Shontesia's Bumby Story
I had the opportunity to intern with Bumby Wool, and it has been such a rewarding experience.

What She'd Love to Highlight
I'd love to highlight my journey of combining business, accounting, and finance with a passion for helping organizations grow.
While my career has included leading projects in manufacturing and data governance, I'm currently pursuing my Master of Accounting as I transition into financial reporting and corporate finance.
I believe every business — whether it's a Fortune 500 company or a handcrafted brand like Bumby — benefits from strong financial stewardship, thoughtful planning, and people who genuinely care about the mission.
I'm grateful that my experience with Bumby has allowed me to see the impact of those values in action.
What She Loves Most About Bumby
What I love most about Bumby Wool is the authenticity behind the brand.
Every product reflects incredible craftsmanship, intentional design, and a genuine commitment to sustainability and families. It's refreshing to work with a company that values quality over quantity and treats customers as part of its community.
The team creates an environment where people feel appreciated, collaboration is encouraged, and everyone's contributions matter.
That culture is something that truly stands out to me.
