For kids’ tops and sweaters, we measure from the actual garment, not the child’s body.

The easiest way to choose a size is to compare the measurements to a top or sweater your child already owns and loves. Bonus: no child-wrangling required. If your kiddo is sleeping, at school, or currently unavailable for negotiations, just grab one of those “laundry decorations” from around the house and measure that instead.

Measure the garment flat:

Torso Length

Measure from the armpit down to the hem.

Chest Width

Measure pit to pit, across the front of the garment.

Sleeve Length

Measure from the armpit to the end of the sleeve.

Our kids’ sizing is based generously by age. It fits fairly true to size, but when in doubt, it leans a little roomy rather than too small — because kids grow, wiggle, layer, and generally refuse to stay the same size for very long.

This fabric is knit in the USA and has the superwash treatment done by Chargeurs

Mashing wash in cold with enzyme free detegent with like colors. We love and suggest Unicorn Clean

Merino wool fabric made from USA Organically raised sheep.

Dreamweight: The fabric is very soft, double the thickness of a Jersey knit. It has no lycra so does relax with wear and will run if snagged. It is the softest and also most delicate of all fabrics we offer. It is well loved for women's top and newborn clothing as well as jammies.

This is not recommended for rugged outdoor play nor is cloth diaper effective.

Jersey: Our jersey isn't the softest out there, but is more durable than some. This won't fall apart at the seams in a few months like I have seen happen with thinner jersey. It has an almost raw silk feel. It won't run or get pulls. It isn't super stretchy and fits true to size.
