Bumby Spotlights

The village has faces. We'd like you to meet them.

We make wool diaper covers. But honestly, that's the least interesting thing about us.

The interesting part is the people. The parent who stayed up too late learning to lanolize and then became the person in their mom group who teaches everyone else. The student who spent a semester knee-deep in our data and left us better than they found us. The small business owner three provinces over who believed in what we were building before we'd figured it out ourselves.

Bumby has always been a village. And villages have stories.

Bumby Spotlights is where we tell them.

Who's a spotlight for?

Bumby customers You chose wool. You figured out the fit, the wash routine, the lanolin. You sent us the photo of your kid in their cover at the farmers market and it made our whole week. You are literally why this business exists. We want to know your story — and share it.

Learners and students You came to us through a school program, a WIL placement, a practicum, or a capstone project — and you brought your whole self with you. You asked hard questions and built real things and we are genuinely proud of what you did here. Let us brag about you a little.

Community champions You're a retailer who believed in us early. A partner who sent people our way. A maker, a collaborator, a supporter who shows up. The village is bigger because of you and we want people to know you exist.

What actually happens when you submit

We read every response. Every one. (Yes, Steph reads them.)

From there, we'll reach out to confirm a few details and share what we're thinking of writing. You'll have a chance to review the post before anything goes live — no surprises, no pressure, nothing published without your okay.

If you submit and change your mind, just tell us. No hard feelings, no questions asked.

A note on why we do this

We've been thinking a lot about what it means to build a business that cares about people — not just customers, not just transactions, but actual humans with actual lives. Spotlights are part of that. They're how we say we see you out loud.

They're also, honestly, how we introduce the village to itself. Some of the best things about Bumby are the people around it. We think you should meet each other.

Your story is welcome here. However much or little you want to share.
