These were our favorite mittens last year for an 18 month old, and we are definitely ordering more for this year. They kept my toddler’s hands toasty warm at temps in the 20s (farenheit), and with a good lano bath they were quite water resistant, too. The big cuffs made it easier to keep them on wiggly fingers, too.

I bought 2 pair of these one for myself and one for my 3.5yr old. We just had a snow storm last night and of course she wanted to play. I had planned to do a lano bath on the mittens to make them water resistant before snow play but I hadn’t gotten around to it yet. I am happy to report it wants even needed. We went sledding and ran around for a while with her sticking her whole arm in snow mounds and both or hands were warm and dry the whole time. I have never had such a good pair of gloves in my life! I have small hands for an adult so I live in limbo between small women’s and large kids sizes which means nothing ever fits except the magic mittens that are knit and not warm. These fit me like a glove. The youth large was my perfect hand size and Stephanie was amazing and so helpful through my whole process! I finally know all these winters with my kid wearing her wool pants she was in fact super warm and cozy. Now if only I had pants for myself my life would be complete!

We love these mitts! All my kids have a pair and i never have to worry about their hands being cold, even after playing in the snow! The lining is soft and the cuff stays put, even on tiny babies. I love the fingerless option because it can be folded over to fit tiny babies and then unfolded later when they get a bit more mobile.

We love our bumby mitts because they aren’t bulky and are super soft. Also machine washable is a huge pro in our house because they get drinks spilled on them and all our knitted wool ones shrink up when we need to wash them. Also where else can you customize your mittens to suit the individual whims of our children? We love our bumby mitts!

I bought three pair of mittens – for my 2-year-old, 5-year-old, and 8-year-old. They work so well, and they love them! My 19-year-old got jealous, so I have an order in for her right now. My husband has been hesitant to buy any wool as he thinks he may be sensitive to wool from some sweater he wore as a child. But when he saw those mittens, he insisted that he have a pair too! 🙂

We’ve had lots of compliments on these gloves and the quality of the material/stitch is incredible! My son is just 2 and I ordered the Baby Large, but they’re very long in the hand for him still and too snug around the wrists (probably that baby chub). I’d hoped to pull them up over the jacket but instead have to put them on before the jacket which adds an extra tedious step. We live in a damp part of Ontario, so even though our temps are moderate, you get chilled to the bone and these didn’t keep my toddler’s hands as warm as I’d hoped. I lanolized them on the inside so I’m not sure if that would affect their warmth… I think we’ll probably have a better fit with them next winter. Otherwise, I love how clean looking they stay. They get muddy, the mud dries and falls right off. Beautiful gloves!

Bumby mitts are the bomb! Me and my kids all wear them during the cold months. Because wool maintains body temperature really well, even when these get a bit wet, little hands don’t get cold very quickly. My kids prefer these over waterproof puffy gloves & mittens. They can use their hands quite easily and the tall, snug cuff doesn’t left snow in, and keeps them on very well! Definitely a huge winter staple around here!

Love LOVE our mitts. We have thumbless for the baby (which are perfect, they keep her toasty, but I don’t have to fight with getting a tiny thumb into a tiny hole that she doesn’t care about anyway), with a thumb plus elastic for my toddler (we have a problem with losing a single glove, elastic makes that a lot harder), and some for me (they’re my go-to hand wear for hiking, playing outside with the kids, and driving before the car warms up).
