Note that all of our bottoms are based on the same “bum” which means that all the shorts, crops and pants in the size have the same top portion. So once you find the right Hip, Rise and Waist that will work, you can just choose your style. Scroll down to find help to measure.
A really easy way to measure is to use existing pants that fit well. They don’t move around nearly as much as a squirmy baby!
The rise of a diaper is the same when off or on a baby
Night-time diapers are usually bigger, so it is a good idea to take that into account

The wool is stretchy and forgiving. We have siblings sharing the same clothes at the same time that are months/years apart in age.
We don’t put general ages for our sizes, because so often they are way off anyways. Most of our clients are using Cloth Diapers as well, which changes the bum sizes a lot between diapers, so it would just make it even more confusing.
I personally remember doing the parent clothing the baby math. “My child is 8oth percentile, age 8 months, so that means 12 to 18 months should fit, but because I am using cloth diapers I will get 24 months and make sure it has button elastic at the waistband.”
Sizing Charts
See the sizing chart for measurements. All of our sweaters are based on the same sizing chart, ie Adult Large fits the same in all sweaters! The easiest way to find out what sizing works best, measure a sweater that fits well and go from there.
Our Sweaters are generously cut and there is only one sizing chart for all genders.
Age
The ages posted are a general guideline, it is best to measure.
Chest – width under armpit
Measured under the armpits. Flat across not around. It is best to measure a shirt or clothing to get a good idea of fit.
Side
Measured armpit to bottom hem along the side. Again some good coverage here.
Arm
Measured under the arm to the sleeve end. The sleeves are nice and long but rouch up nicely.

Measurements for Toques, beanies and flap hats. Flap hats have an extended portion to cover the ears though. Pixie hats are a bit harder to measure but aline with the same sizing but age
How to Measure

Width under armpit – Chest
Measured under the armpits. Flat across not around. It is best to measure a shirt or clothing to get a good idea of fit.
Sleeve under arm & Inseam
Sleeves are measured Armpit to Cuff & Inseam is measured Crotch to Cuff.
Note that the suit usually fits a bit roomy, so the seam isn’t sitting right at the armpit and crotch, meaning these can be a bit shorter than a more form fitting garment.
Neck to crotch – Torso Length
Measured Shoulder to Crotch. Including the bum. Many of our Bumby Wearers are in cloth diapers, and this is taken into account. We have added a gusset in the legs to give even more room without increasing the bulk!
