Explorer Diaper Cover

A Bumby fan favorite. Blending the coverage of shorts with a diaper cover style, The Explorer is the go-to for families wanting more coverage and flexibility as these look like little shorts and often worn shorts in warmer weather.  (Formerly called Hybrid)

Bumby diaper covers are designed to function differently than many traditional diaper covers.
Instead of relying on tight leg seals, the entire diaper cover acts as the functional barrier.

This allows for flexibility in fit and means that covers can still perform effectively even when slightly oversized.

To measure for a diaper cover, lay a disposable diaper flat and opened up, measure the full length, and add approximately four inches. This helps ensure the cover will sit properly at the natural waist.

Hip measurements should include both the diaper bulk and the upper thighs to ensure full coverage.

Bumby garments are made using high-quality merino wool fabrics designed for comfort, performance, and longevity.

Our heavyweight fabrics, commonly used for sweaters and bottoms, are a blend of 95% merino wool and 5% lycra. This combination provides structure, stretch, and durability while maintaining the natural benefits of wool.

All fabrics are milled in the USA or Canada using organic, cruelty-free Australian merino wool.

For care, garments can be machine washed on cold using an enzyme-free detergent such as Unicorn Clean. To maintain shape and longevity, lay flat to dry and gently block to your desired shape.

Hand washing is also a suitable option. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent.
