Merino Wool Bloomers. Shortest inseam has a curve at the front and back for a really adorable extra poof. Standard have a nice mid thigh length which can be rouched up for added poof as well.
The long can extend quite a bit down the leg for a knickerbocker vintage golf player look. Either way, these look super cool on all genders and one of our Bumby classic looks and hugely popular.
THESE ONLY COME IN THE WIDE HIP SIZING
Great for sweaters & bottoms for all ages. A cloth diaper cover functional weight
Hi Jessica, congratulations and what an exciting time. Bloomers are a great item for the season and fit. I highly recommend joining and discussing fit questions on our chat group. There are people that have great advice for you and you can talk it out to feel confident. Some questions that might come up are, is this your first baby? If you have other children what size where they at birth, what diapers are you planning to use underneath. Likely smalls or XS in Comfy will be a good idea, but there could be some really get support in our chat group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bumbyflockchat my name is Stephanie Gross and you can tag me in there or just ask. If I don’t see you in there I will email you to follow up

A really easy way to measure is to use existing pants that fit well. They don’t move around nearly as much as a squirmy baby!
The rise of a diaper is the same when off or on a baby
Night-time diapers are usually bigger, so it is a good idea to take that into account
Check our chat group on Facebook. You will probably find someone with similar measurements or sizing to chat with and get ideas.
The wool is stretchy and forgiving. We have siblings sharing the same clothes at the same time that are months/years apart in age.
Designed for Cloth Diaper usage. All of our Merino Wool Bottoms are a fully functional Cloth Diaper Cover. Our Baby Sizing has a generous cut in the rise to accomodate bulky diapers in the front and back.
Designed for people out of Diapers. They still function as a cloth diaper cover, altered to have a lower rise in the front than our baby fit. They are cut more like standard classic bottoms since there is generally less bulk in the front. However, many of our clients, especially those with more trim diapers prefer this design.
Check the sizing charts for more detailed information to assist your choice.
The same hips are on both; youth has a shorter rise and generally longer inseams.
Slender is generally 2″ narrower than Standard. Wide is generally 2″ wider than standard. Or next size up or down in the hips
Each size generally gets wider and taller by 2″
Machine wash wool?
Doesn’t that sound like a dream? Well lets make it a reality. We have partnered with Unicorn Laundry Care products because they are the best product I have found for our wool. Find a retailer near you or in our shop.
Our wool is thick and soft and likes to hold fluid. Which means it will hold onto soap and detergent unless it is rinsed and washed well. So we highly recommend using not only very little soap, but also to rinse well.
Unicorn Beyond Soft in a natural Fabric Conditioner. It helps keeps the fibers soft and healthy.
Step 1 Dissolve 1 TBSP of Unicorn Beyond Clean in some water
Step 2 Add wool to your washing machine
Step 3 Add dissolved detergent to the dispenser
Step 4 Turn on washer to Cool setting (use wool setting or lower spin)
Do a secondary rinse cycle, aka rinse and spin with pre-dissolved Beyond Soft Conditioner.
We also recommend doing this every so often to refresh your wool between washes. It removed light soiling and neutralized salts
Wool has been used for centuries in all climates. It keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the heat. Reducing night sweats and rashes
Wool is a naturally breathable fiber reducing rashes and keeping baby dry.
Our in-house proprietary dyeing process not only gives us stunning colours but also pre-treats the wool making it machine washable.
We had craft every item in our workshop. Each item is lovingly cut and sewn by our team. We appreciate your business and love doing what we do.
Wool sops up humidy and moisture and it also repells it. Its called a miracle fiber by many. The lanolin helps the wool repel fluids back to the diaper, then as it becomes too much it absorbs a tremendous amount before feeling damp.
Our stuff is adorable. It really is. Come join our Flock and you can see all of the custom made items we have made over the years. Our brand is more than clothing, its about family.

Why Use Lanolin?
Lanolin is a naturally occurring wax found in wool fiber. It is cleaned out of the wool during processing the fibers for fabric and yarn. We only use the purest pharmaceutical grade lanolin. Lanolin conditions the wool fibers and gives the waterproof protection we love about wool. Lanolin also increases the wool’s anti-bacterial properties to help your diaper cover self-clean between uses and naturalize urine.
Use our Emulsion Blocks to create a lanolin rich bath to reintroduce this amazing natural goodness into your wool. Click the rest of the tabs for more information on how to use them.
You can also use our pre-emulsified Ready to Use Lanolin Blend to make it even easier! Made with all natural ingredients to take away the guesswork. Super rich, with at least 25% lanolin in the mixture.
Want something for on the go or between washing. Use our pre-mixed Lanolin Rich Spray. Helps boost the wool performance without the wait.

Bloomers are the most adorable summer style, easy on and off over a fluffy bum, can be scrunched to be above knee or depending on babies size sometimes have enough length to just pass the knee. They are our favorite short style.

Bloomers are such a versatile style for boys and girls. I always bought long inseam bloomers for my boy; they had a very classic look and were perfect for covering his knees during rough-and-tumble play. I’m loving shortest inseam bloomers with double ruffle cuffs on my baby girl. Feminine and sweet!

Love my bloomers! They are so cute on my little one. Functional as a diaper cover and they double as shorts.
Bridgette Reynolds (verified owner) –
The cutest shorts for babies. Great covers.

LOVE these bloomers. They fit both my 2 year old and my 9 month old perfectly, with room to grow.

Fit kiddo so well! Grateful for the Bumby team customizing sizing. Love the knee coverage with the long inseam. Kiddo looks adorable in his “Hobbit pants.”

Bloomers are my favorite short style for my little one. They make for excellent diaper covers over his flats and preflats but will also be great when he is out of diapers. The pleats offer an adorable fit and I find them very gender neutral and flattering. We enjoy both the standard and long inseam.

First time trying bloomers I got youth small long. I’m hoping they last a few years. They fit her my girl so nice and the color is so beautiful.

Bloomers are literally the cutest things ever. I can’t get enough of them.

Bloomers are in my top 2 fav styles of Bumby pants! I can’t tell you how many compliments and ‘where did you get these’ we’ve received when we have these on. These are baby medium standard, Long inseam, in durasoft cadet & cozy gator waistband with added hidden pockets! Three things here… Love the durability of the durasoft wool, the cozy waistband will make it easy for potty learning, and the hidden pockets are the sweetest touch.
Bloomers are such a lovely pant for my son. They are cut perfectly, great knee protection with a small sweet detail at the cuff.
My son has been wearing them since 10-11m and they will definitely give us at least another 8m of wear. Gotta love Bumby cuts, and wool!

We love bloomers here! They’re such a cute style and so versatile. Perfect for crawlers and knee protection! These are youth small wide with standard inseam in cozy striped hay (pictured on the top). My son started wearing them as of 10-11m old and he will have plenty of room to grow in them.

Love these so much!
