I was born in New Zealand and grew up in Nanaimo BC where I attended University starting a BSc degree. Life took me to Alberta where I met my husband who then whisked me away to his home in Costa Rica for three years. We returned to Canada where I became the mother to two beautiful boys. We have placed roots in Red Deer Alberta where Bumby has grown into an internationally recognized wool clothing brand. I am passionate about what this company can do for not only my family, the team we work with, but also our community here and abroad. Inspiring a different way to do business, embracing collaboration and symbiotic relationships which are inherently mutually beneficial. Although Bumby Wool was est 2008. We incorporated in 2019, changing my mindset to own the title CEO. I am very excited to see where this path takes me.

Why we love our routine
I have used pretty much every scent and product Routine offers from face and body oils to the deodorant, including the shampoo and conditioner. I love the Dirty Hipster, it has patchouli which I am usually not a fan, but it is subtle and I smell more hints of chocolate and mint. They use organic flavours for scents, nothing artificial. Smell good and stay fresh. The only product that has actually worked.
Lanolin in Soap
I started making soap for Emulsion Blocks to emuslify lanolin to boost the natural water proofing and anti-bacterial properties of wool. In general any soap can be used, however having the blocks in a convenient size as well as chemically balanced for the easiest possible emulsion was our goal.
Side effect, I fell in love with soap making hard. I dabbled with using lanolin in the blend and literally can’t use any other soap now.
